1. Purpose

This AUP governs your use of Ballistic Science Lab, including the website at BallisticScienceLab.com, the ballistics calculator, user accounts, and any data submission features. By accessing or using BSL, you agree to this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Permitted Use

BSL is intended for lawful use by hunters, precision shooters, and firearms enthusiasts for the purpose of ballistic research, load comparison, and trajectory estimation. You may use BSL to:

• Access and use the ballistics calculator for personal, non-commercial research.
• Create an account and save custom loads and calculations.
• Submit cartridge data in good faith for potential inclusion in the BSL dataset.
• Share feedback, questions, or data correction requests via the contact form.

3. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use BSL to:

3.1 Illegal Activity

• Plan, facilitate, or assist any activity that violates federal, state, or local law, including laws governing the acquisition, possession, transfer, or use of firearms and ammunition.
• Circumvent export control laws or provide ballistic data to prohibited persons or jurisdictions.

3.2 Harmful or Threatening Content

• Submit, transmit, or solicit content that threatens, harasses, or incites violence against any person or group.
• Use BSL in connection with the planning or execution of any act of violence.

3.3 Fraudulent or Misleading Submissions

• Submit cartridge data you know to be fabricated, inaccurate, or intended to mislead other users.
• Impersonate any manufacturer, brand, or individual when submitting data.

3.4 System Integrity

• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of BSL systems or circumvent any security or authentication measures.
• Submit automated requests, scripts, or bots that place unreasonable load on BSL infrastructure.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access.

3.5 Spam and Abuse

• Use the contact form or any BSL communication channel to send unsolicited commercial messages or spam.
• Abuse the contact or data submission features in a manner that is repetitive, frivolous, or intended to disrupt operations.

4. User-Submitted Cartridge Data

BSL may allow registered users to submit cartridge specifications for review. By submitting data, you represent that:

• The data is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• You are not infringing any third-party intellectual property rights.
• You grant BSL a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute the submitted data as part of the BSL dataset.

BSL reserves the right to reject, edit, or remove any submitted data at its sole discretion.

5. Age Requirement

BSL is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. Use of BSL by minors is not permitted. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will terminate that account promptly.

6. Enforcement

BSL reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. In response to a violation or suspected violation, we may, without notice or liability:

• Suspend or terminate your account.
• Remove or disable access to any content you have submitted.
• Report conduct to appropriate law enforcement authorities.

We are not obligated to monitor all user activity, but reserve the right to do so.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of BSL following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
